Performing on reeds and synthesizer, Hanah Jon Taylor brings over 50 years of artistry as a bandleader, collaborator, and educator. Known for his lyrical approach on flute, soprano saxophone, and wind synthesizer, his work bridges tradition and exploration with remarkable soul and intention.
A longtime member of Chicago’s AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians), Hanah has performed and recorded internationally with countless influential artists and ensembles, touring throughout Europe, Scandinavia, and beyond. His musical journey includes collaborations with Ethnic Heritage Ensemble, Sun Ra Arkestra, and many of today’s leading voices in creative jazz.
